What is a Christian?

What is a Christian?

It isn’t often that we get a chance to see ourselves through the eyes of God, but I think I did get that chance and I thank my good friend and brother in Christ, Rob, for that. While we all might feel lost in our everyday lives and faith lives on occasion, take a moment when that happens to look to Scripture and ask yourself, “Is this what God wants of me? Is this what God wants of the church I go to and the community I associate with?”
“Is this what a Christian is suppose to be?”
This sermon looks at the basics of what it means to be Christian and the life and behavior we are called to live.
Dedicated to Rob Sharp, fighting his last fight with cancer as I type this. Please take the time to pray for him and his wife Tammie, and if you feel the need to give a little, please look to your favorite cancer research foundation and donate. For me that would be St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer, but that is up to you. Give where God leads you to give. Live as God leads you to live.
And God bless you, your families, and especially all those suffering from cancer and their families.

What is Easter, really?

What is Easter, really? Is it bunnies and chicks, eggs and candy? Of course not, but what is it? Here’s one father’s take on it: What if we looked at what Easter is by way of God the Father?

Another apology

If you have ever had children, you know how this goes. Freya has been having severe teething since we got back from the in-laws at Christmas and since I’m the one without an income, I’m the one trying my best to deal with it. But that means something has to give, and that is the podcasts. I will try to get back to podcasting as soon as I can.

In the meantime, here’s a short list of new ideas I have had:

The Pad and the Phone – How to get interaction in the family in the age of the app.

Priority One – Making family a priority; goal setting, budgeting, and a change of focus in the 21st century.

The Return of the Tabletop Game? – Looking closely at a new start-up.

LP Sermon Series: God the Father – Who is God to us? What does God say? The Painful Truth

Until then, folks, thanks for sticking with me and God bless.

A major apology…

Just a quick apology to all you who have been wondering what happened to content. Freya has been teething badly and is now sick with a bug, so, and those of you with kids will no doubt have stories of your own, sleep has gone out the window for me since I am on night shift for her, and daytime daddy daycare has taken a toll as well. That’s what happens when your kid gets sick. So I have been taking lots of notes over podcasts I would like to do in the hopefully near future and I hope to get you that content out before everyone gives up on me. Thank for your patience, y’all, and stay safe out there. God bless.
