Our Friends & Relatives

Examples of LP's Websites... and his family...

Whole Family Legal LLC

My wife, Rebecca’s, law office specializing in Family Law and Estate/Trust/Probate Law. We even had one of her associates at the time, Eric, do the paperwork on our adoption of Freya, shown here in 2017. Many tried to tell Rebecca there was no room for lady attorneys. She has proved them all wrong.

Bitter Water Rolloff

One of two businesses of LP’s mother-in-law, Marionetta Cooper. BWR is a trash/recycling bin drop-off company out of Cortez, Colorado, started to price compete against a national company contracted to the landfill. Always buy local.

Country Kids Playhouse

Another company by Marionetta Cooper, Country Kids is a preschool designed to bring up kids as lifelong learners, teaching in the traditional way. In fact, the local school district has even mildly complained about the results, kids coming from Country Kids often outpacing their classmates in public school.

Other Websites

The other two I can share are both my own companies:

  • Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms Inc. (501c3) was started from a vision in 2009 to build a series of farms to act as rehabilitation facilities for homeless families. It has since not purchased any farm land, but has started and maintained several shelter and community gardens for the local area.
  • Rohi Therapy is a dba of Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms, opening in 2019 to offer nonprofit, low cost counseling to the public with the first office in Northglenn, Colorado.

Other Friends and Relatives of Note

Northglenn Christian Church

The first shout-out should go to the fellowship that started me back down the right road, the gang at Northglenn Christian Church. I consider them more than just a “church family.” They are my real, honest-to-goodness family, there for us through hardships, scholarships, VBS ships, and, of course, worship. They were the ones who celebrated the loudest with us when Freya came into our lives. I could never say enough about all of them. I’m that dopey looking guy in the upper left corner in the green shirt and this was during one of many Christmas Cantata’s since.

Colorado Christian University

My next stop after returning to God and receiving the vision for Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms was Colorado Christian University. It had just started on the road to distance learning and accreditation for teaching counseling for state licensure. It was a leap of faith, but it was a leap that led me to a great internship with Harvest Farm, showing me how DNN could be implemented, and to Katherine “Kat” Edgar, Freya’s biological grandmother, the woman who called on us to adopt her, and my partner in Rohi Therapy. I should point out that CCU received accredidation for the Counseling program the year after I finished, making it perfect for budding Christian counselors.

Grand Canyon Theological Seminary
Grand Canyon University

It did not take long after CCU for God to take me back to His first goal for me back when I was 8 years old, the road to becoming a priest. Grand Canyon University’s College of Theology is now a Theological Seminary, accredited in the United States as a non-denominational seminary. I made a lot of friends in the school, both students and professors, and look forward to the next residencies towards my doctorate as well, combining Organizational Leadership with Christian Ministry as both business and mission.
